Since its establishment in 2018, municipal specialist truck hire expert Endurance Vehicle Solutions (EVS) has gone from strength to strength, expanding its growing business across the UK with aims to reduce the barrier-to-entry for local authorities seeking cutting-edge fleet solutions. Now in its sixth year, EVS’ fleet size is due to increase to more than 750 vehicles, 40% of which is made up of Dennis Eagle refuse collection vehicles (RCVs)

Offering turnkey fleet services and solutions that extend across refuse collection, street cleaning, heavy-duty tankers, and a recently introduced highway division, EVS was built on the exceptional expertise and extensive experience of its nearly 60 team members. With headquarters based near Chepstow in South Wales, the business now has coverage across Wales, in London, and the Midlands. This rapid growth has only served to reinforce EVS’ ambition to eventually become a national service provider.

“We’ve seen phenomenal growth over the past few years and are excited for this trend to continue,” said Neil Jeremiah, Managing Director, EVS. “There’s a real requirement for our service offering within the waste industry at the moment, particularly as legislation continues to change and reshape how our customers approach waste management. A lot of us are veterans of the sector, so it’s in our DNA to help deliver real value and provide the specialist skills and resources many of our customers need.”

EVS’ highly skilled team provides fleet management and consultancy services across each vehicle’s lifecycle, all the way through to disposal. This includes compliance, breakdowns, LOLER inspections, replacement vehicles, and account management among many others. EVS also has a keen eye on the future of the industry and currently has six apprentices under the age of 21 working across the business with aspirations to hire a further two each year.

“We know how important it is to get young people interested in the skills required across our industry,” added Neil. “It’s well known across the UK that there’s a shortage of these kinds of skillsets and it’s our responsibility as an established expert to transfer our knowledge and inspire the next generation.”

Working together to deliver world-class solutions

A significant contributor to EVS’ expanding fleet of long-term rental RCVs is longstanding partner Dennis Eagle. A recent order of 65 brand-new vehicles only serves to reinforce their trust in our reliable, high-performing range of products. This order consisted of 40 Elite+ 6x2 rear-steer Narrow chassis with Olympus 19 bodies and OmniDEL bin lifts, 10 Elite+ 6x2 rear-steer chassis with Olympus Twin Pack 22 bodies and OmniDEL Triple bin lifts, as well as five Elite+ 6x2 rear-steers with Olympus 23 bodies and Beta bin lifts and a handful of Elite+ 4x2 Narrows with Olympus 10 bodies. This will help support the business’ continual growth and provide its customers with a diverse mix of different vehicles across multiple waste streams.

“We have a fantastic relationship with Dennis Eagle,” said Neil. “They’re a great team with an outstanding aftersales department that’s always ready to solve any problems we may have. From day one, they’ve been responsive, communicative, and engaged, which is why our teams work incredibly well together. I can’t say enough good things about them. They’re one of our first choice RCV providers.”

The enhanced safety features and innovative five-camera DVR system made available on the RCVs had particular appeal to the municipal fleet provider, enabling EVS to provide operators with the best possible in-vehicle experience. In fact, EVS prides itself on delivering modern, fully equipped fleets that add value, are future-ready, and are safe by design.

“EVS is a fresh and flexible business that is a pleasure to work with, and one that’s extremely dedicated to its customers,” said Adam Robins, General Sales Manager, Dennis Eagle. “What Neil and his team have achieved since 2018 is admirable, no matter what industry you’re in. Their customer retention figures alone are a testament to the excellent standard of their services. We’re grateful to be able to play a part in their growth and are proud to see our RCVs making a difference to their customer base.”
