Role: Buyer

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday

 

Join our team as a Buyer and play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations by strategically procuring goods, materials, and services, while balancing considerations of price, quality, and timely delivery, thereby guaranteeing uninterrupted supply chains and potentially spearheading impactful projects

 

In this role you will:

  • Procure goods, materials, and services to maintain uninterrupted supply chains and address any supply issues promptly
  • Stay abreast of market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhance procurement processes
  • Manage supplier relationships by negotiating contracts, improving terms, and assessing supplier performance
  • Ensure compliance with company guidelines, assess tenders, and explore alternative sources for goods and materials
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement through innovative procurement strategies and supplier management techniques

 

Qualifications that set you apart include:

  • Contract management and supplier management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Buying/Procurement
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers 
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the UK and Over Seas
