Role: Test and Development Engineer

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37hpw, 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 13:00 Friday

We're looking for a Test and Development Engineer at our Head Office in Warwick. You'll prepare for, conduct and report test and development activities to validate product design, you'll also be responsible for delivering DVP activities and providing technical advice and coordination on company projects.

Essential knowledge & experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Electric vehicle test and validation experience 
  • Experience of problem solving tools and methodology (Six sigma, 8d, 5Y, etc.)
  • Experience progressing Design Validation Plan (DVP) activities effectively within agreed deadlines

You will also need:

  • Minimum qualification Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering or the ability to demonstrate the same level of competence through a combination of other relevant qualifications, training and experience.
  • Experience using data analysis software for post-processing test data (such as NI DIAdem, Matlab, CATmanAP, nCode)
  • A strong understanding of instrumentation set up and theory including, Strain Gauges, load cells, displacement transducers (pots & LVDTs), Accelerometers (AC & DC), thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, microphones
