Role: Software & Control Team Leader

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday 

We are seeking an experienced team leader who can take pro-active ownership of software for both in-house developed systems and third party supplied software-based systems. Reporting to the Chief Engineer – New Technology, you'll provide guidance, vision, insight and motivation for the team in order to deliver high quality control system and embedded software work products. This role also includes significant involvement in Group wide production software support, cyber security and functional safety activities.

In this role some of your responsibilities will include supporting the personal and professional development of the team through mentoring, coaching, software development of an electric vehicle application, and software code generation for deployment in a rapid prototyping unit (RPU).

Qualifications that set you apart include:

  • Demonstrable experience leading a team of engineers
  • Requirements capture from stakeholder to implementation, and change management
  • Understanding of the V development model, and Agile and Waterfall software delivery requirements
  • Software/Electronics Engineering Degree or the ability to demonstrate the same level of competence
  • Well-developed problem-solving techniques
  • Ability to communicate technically complex subjects
