Role: Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Evironment (QHSE)

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37hpw, Monday to Friday

We're looking for a Head of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) to join the Operations leadership team at our Head Office in Warwick, you'll drive excellence in policy formulation, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our QHSE management systems.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Manage and lead departments dedicated to QHSE, setting the direction for policy development and implementation.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Stay at the forefront of national and international rules, legislation, and regulations relevant to our operations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Audit and Improvement: Take the reins in organising both internal and external audits, as well as spearheading improvement projects in the expansive realm of QHSE and compliance.

You'll have:

  • Detailed industry knowledge and/or knowledge of a comparable industry
  • Detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience of multi-site, multi-discipline organisations
  • Experience in dealing with sub-contractors
  • Manufacturing experience
  • HNC in manufacturing disciplines with a focus on Quality (or equivalent)
  • Formal Health and Safety qualification ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (NVQ L6)
  • Grad IOSH working towards CMIOSH

  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving ability
  • Organisation, time management, prioritising and setting targets
  • Able to deliver training on a range of subjects to varying abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and with diplomacy with all levels of employees
  • Intermediate Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills
  • Must systematically keep up to date in one's own areas of expertise
