Field Service Engineer, Aldridge

Role: Field Service Engineer

Location: Aldridge, WS9 8TZ

Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday to Friday

We are looking for a Mobile HGV Technician / Field Service Engineer to join the team at our busy Aldridge Service Centre, you will have the use of a company van.

The role:

  • You'll carry out servicing and repair to a range of chassis and vehicle mounted municipal equipment at both customer premises and within Company workshops.

You'll have:

  • Proven knowledge of good health and safety practices
  • At least 5 years' experience in the maintenance and repair of RCVs or similar equipment
  • Experience of both body and chassis maintenance and repair
  • Year 3 City & Guilds training or equivalent
  • Proven diagnostic skills
  • An understanding of electronics 
  • The ability to read and understand wiring and hydraulics diagrams 
  • Basic IT and administration skills

 

Extra information:

  • There will be a requirement to enter/exit bodies and hoppers
  • Occasional heavy lifting required
  • Mon – Fri 45hrs – flexible as required
  • Willing and able to stay away from home when required
  • Willing and able to travel internationally
  • Willing and able to work overtime, sometimes at short notice
