Role: Chief Engineer

Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE

Hours: 37hpw, between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 13:00 Friday

We're looking for a Chief Engineer to join the Engineering leadership team at our Head Office in Warwick where you'll lead and develop your engineering team to deliver project activities in line with business and department objectives.

You'll be responsible for:

  • People management, leading your team including resource planning, recruitment, mentoring, personal development and succession planning
  • Supporting budget development
  • Working with other senior managers and engineering leadership to oversee product design, verification & validation
  • Working with the team to develop and deliver quality, environmental and sustainability objectives
  • Support the strategic product planning activity


You'll have:

  • Truck, yellow goods, agriculture or related product / vehicle systems knowledge
  • Previously created and implemented production validation plans
  • Experience as a 'people manager' - people development, building, managing and motivating a strong and flexible team
  • Strategic product planning for portfolio management experience
  • Previously managed a department budget
  • Experienced using diverse tools for workload planning and management
  • Minimum qualification - degree in Mechanical Engineering or the ability to demonstrate the same level of competence
  • 15+ years engineering experience within a relevant industry

  • Ability to communicate with others effectively
